Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
The short version.
- We collect what we need to run a marketplace: your account, your listings, your orders and your messages.
- Card numbers and payout details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us.
- We share a buyer's address with their seller and our shipping partners, only to ship the order.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
1. Who we are
Almari Technologies Inc. ("Almari", "we") runs the Almari app and almari.store. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
2. What we collect
You give us
- Account: email, first name, @handle, whether you shop women's or men's, your shopping preferences (occasions, sizes, designers), and how you found Almari. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email they share.
- Profile: your photo, bio and display name, and your Instagram handle if you add one (shown on your profile unless you hide it).
- Listings: photos and details of what you sell. We remove location data from photos when they're uploaded.
- Messages (with any photos, videos and voice notes), comments, offers and reviews you send on Almari.
- Addresses: the addresses you save to ship to and from.
- Support and feedback: what you write to us, and any screenshots or voice notes you choose to attach.
- The website's contact form: your name, email and message. To stop spam our database keeps only a scrambled form of your IP address; our hosting provider's security logs record the address itself for a short time.
Created when you use Almari
- Orders: what you bought or sold, amounts, status, tracking and delivery scans, and any problem reported.
- Likes, follows, bag, drafts, Discover swipes and your past @handles.
- Activity: when you were last active, which people you message can see.
- Device: a push notification token if you allow notifications, your time zone so notifications respect quiet hours, an app-update ID the app sends when it checks for updates, and your sign-in session, kept on your phone.
- Technical logs: our servers record things like your IP address, device type and app version when you use Almari, to keep it secure and fix problems.
- Website visits: almari.store counts its visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites. It gives us totals only, such as which pages were viewed, which site sent visitors, the kind of device and browser, the country and how fast pages loaded, never who visited.
From partners
- Stripe processes payments and verifies sellers. Stripe collects card details, and for sellers, legal name, date of birth, address, the last digits of a Social Security number and bank details. We receive only what we need, such as whether payouts are set up and the status of a payment.
- Shippo and USPS send us tracking updates for parcels on our labels, and tell us whether an address can be delivered to.
3. How we use it
- To run the marketplace: show listings, process orders, hold and release payments, buy shipping labels and track parcels.
- To keep people safe: review listings, check written messages and comments automatically for contact details and scams, prevent fraud, and decide reported problems.
- To help you: answer support questions and send notifications you've allowed.
- To improve Almari, using your feedback and how the app is used.
Help answers in the app are picked by software running on our own servers from answers our team wrote. No outside AI company receives your messages.
4. Who we share it with
- Other people on Almari. Your profile, listings, comments, reviews and badges are public in the app. When you buy, your seller sees your name and shipping address so they can ship it. When you sell, the buyer sees the name and return address on the shipping label.
- Service providers who work for us: Supabase (our database and servers), Stripe (payments and payouts), Shippo and USPS (shipping labels, address checks and tracking), Expo (push notifications and app updates), Apple and Google (sign-in, notifications and the app stores), Resend (emails the app and our servers send, such as sign-in links, ambassador applications and notices about your payouts), Cloudflare (our website) and Zoho (our email). Each is bound to protect your information at least as well as this policy does and to use it only to provide its service to us; Stripe, Apple, Google and USPS also handle it under their own privacy policies. A notification's preview (who it's from and the start of a message) passes through Expo, Apple and Google to reach your phone.
- When the law requires it, or to protect people from harm or fraud.
- If Almari is sold or merged, your information would move with it, under this policy.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, listings nobody has started to buy, likes, follows, bag, drafts and preferences go. We keep what orders, payments, disputes, safety and the law need: your orders and their shipping details, the listings and photos of pieces you sold or someone started to buy (that order still shows them), chats and support about a piece you bought or sold, cases and their evidence, anything someone reported to us (as evidence, as it was when reported), records that the account was deleted, and reviews you wrote (without your name or photo). If you sold on Almari, Stripe keeps the identity and bank details it verified under its own privacy policy. We keep those only as long as we need them for those reasons or the law requires (tax and payment records often for several years), then delete them. Deleted information leaves our backups as they're replaced. Website messages are kept until they're answered and no longer needed.
6. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, addresses and preferences in the app at any time.
- Turn notifications on or off in Settings.
- Make your account private, which hides who you follow and who follows you.
- Delete your account in the app (My Almari, then the menu, then Delete My Account), or see how to delete your account.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account, by writing to us (below). We'll confirm it's you first.
Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have more rights, including to know, correct and delete your information. We'll honour them, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
7. Cookies
The app doesn't use advertising cookies or trackers. It keeps your sign-in on your phone so you stay signed in. Our website, almari.store, doesn't set cookies, and counts its visits without them (Cloudflare Web Analytics, above).
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls on every table of our database, and partners who protect payment data to industry standards. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in safe and tell us if something looks wrong.
9. Children
Almari is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child has an account, please tell us and we'll remove it.
10. Where your information is kept
Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
12. Contact
